Just a quiet corner of the Net where I will come to sit and think and write. Maybe you will find that I have something worthwhile to say.

"Make it out of Babylon?"

Ben, you're referring to those who bent over backwards for people you know at times when their life crashed around them--due to their own sin--and who supported them against all logic after being lied to.

Those are pharisees? People who loved sinners when they were tough to love? People who gave second and third chances to others who lashed out against them? People who rejoiced with those as even sin led into a blessing for those you know?

As long as you choose to go it alone and thumb your nose at Christ's Church you will never see the depth of the need of others and how you might actually be able to help.

But then it's a lot easier to hurl invectives from a corner and to call the Church "Babylon" than it is to humbly try to work within her for her sanctification.

The Church is and will remain imperfect until Christ's return. It is our task to work by His grace to perfect her. Until you're ready to put up ....

Seth,

With thoughts and observations like these, I pray that you make it out of Babylon. Keep going...

Focus on the whole "angry at the Pharisees" thing, then apply it to today's "church", and you'll see where I'm at...

Ben

"afraid no more"
