On being a fanboy
2007-08-09It’s funny, really. I’ve been around indie RPG design for a while. I’ve designed a couple of my own games, so I know that there’s really no special genius. It’s just a lot of work. None of us are rock stars or anything like that. We’re just normal people.
Just. Normal. People.
But still, when Ben Lehman IMed me to set up a game of Polaris at GenCon, my fanboy instincts kicked into overdrive. “I’m going to get to play Polaris with the designer!” I probably would have screamed a girly scream, if I could force my voice into those registers.
Sigh.
Sometimes I make myself laugh.
He-he. If this weren’t Polaris you were talking about I would start mocking you. But as it is… You get to play Polaris with Ben Lehman???? Cool!
